The Sony Yuga will get its more formal name, the Xperia Z, when it arrives at CES, reports XperiaBlog. The site has been accurate in the past so we feel pretty good about the report. Additional details for the Xperia Z include water and dust resistance ratings (IP55, IP57) as well as “OptiConrast” technology for the 5-inch display. As far as the other, more outlandish rumors for the Sony Yuga? The XperiaBlog doesn’t have anything to confirm or deny.
Sony has made the trek to Las Vegas over the last few years where they have announced a number of new models of Android smartphones. Given the level of leaks and rumors surrounding this model, we fully anticipate the Xperia Z at CES in early January.
