A new Android-based Samsung smartphone has been unearthed for the Chinese market which features a very unorthodox form factor. Called the GT-B9120, the Android 2.3 Gingerbread handset provides an old school clam shell design, but with the world’s most popular mobile OS. Aside from the occasional knock off or no-name phone, we’ve yet to see any flip phone Android phones.
Hardware includes a pair of 3.5-inch 480×800 displays, a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260, 5-megapixel camera, 16GB internal storage, and HSPA, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth connectivity. Pricing and exact launch details are not immediately clear however we cannot imagine this one coming to the United States anytime soon. The dual-screen stuff just doesn’t have much of a market and we’ve yet to hear anyone clamoring for the clam. That said, if you want one bad enough, you’ll find a way to get your hands on it.
